All of us have the responsibility to "be awake" to beauty, in our surroundings and in our daily life. And then, if we can, to reflect it in our work. Our "built environments" (our buildings) should respect, compliment and amplify our natural environment. If they don't, we are violating a sacred trust. We work very hard to both respect the natural canvas we are given, and to create something that is worthy of it.
