De Novo Architects is an Architecture firm founded in 1993, with clients throughout the Twin Cities, Minnesota, Florida and beyond. We are part of the Charles Cudd De Novo family of companies.

James McNeal is Principal Architect, founder and CEO for De Novo Architects. Since the third grade, Jim knew he would be an Architect when he grew up. As a grown up, Mr. McNeal graduated from the University of Minnesota's College of IT with a bachelor in Architecture where his teachers included Ralph Rapson and Dale Mulfinger. Mr. McNeal is known for his deep knowledge of all Architectural genres, and his absolute commitment to good design. He has over 25 years of design and Architecture experience. His passion for Architecture permeates all aspects of his life. He is a Registered Architect in Minnesota and Florida, nationally certified with NCARB and a member of the AIA. What does he do in his spare time? Architecture.
